Shipping and Return Information Shipping Damages USPS All items shipped USPS are insured. It is the responsibility of the customer to file a claim for lost or broken goods. We will replace lost or broken goods at no charge upon receipt of supporting documentation from the USPS. Shipping Damages UPS Please follow the instructions provided below and in all cases call or send an e-mail to Kevin’’s Custom Crafts with the details of the damage. (Carrier, invoice number, date of delivery, extent of damage, and any other information regarding the damage.) We will assist you with the claim process. Damaged Procedures for United Parcel Service (UPS): 1. Report all damages within two weeks (14 days) from our ship date. 2. Call your local UPS office. Report the damage and request an inspection. 3. UPS will arrange for an inspection or advise you of further steps to take. IMPORTANT: DO NOT RETURN DAMAGED MERCHANDISE TO Kevin’s Custom Crafts. Inspection must be made on your premises. Returning items VOIDS any possibility of an adjustment. All original packing materials must be kept even if there is no apparent damage to the shipping carton... 4. E-mail or call Kevin’’s Custom Crafts providing us the invoice number, number of boxes received and damage involved. This information will prepare us for a claim report from UPS. 5. UPS will contact Kevin’’s Custom Crafts within 10 to 20 working days advising us of the results of your claim. 6. Kevin’s Custom Crafts will notify you of the results and with your feedback determine if you want a refund or replacement.Motor Freight
Delivery: Please note that, for all Motor Freight Deliveries, you must be present to sign for, and inspect, your order. A driver will call ahead to schedule a delivery time window. Please see Inspecting delivery below: Inspecting Your Delivery The Lighthouse Man offers quality products, and makes every effort to ensure that these products are packaged and delivered by the most reputable and qualified shipping companies. Despite these precautions, the possibility does exist that your order may arrive with minor transit damage. Thus, it is imperative that you inspect your order for damages before signing the freight bill. Again when your order arrives, take the time to inspect it to ensure that the paperwork is accurate, the correct number and type of items have been delivered, and that the shipment is free from any damage or defect. It is imperative that you make a report of any damage or defect immediately upon delivery by noting the problem on the shipping company’s Bill of Lading and contacting the Lighthouse Man via email or at 570-523-0813. If your order was delivered via Motor Freight Delivery, please do not discard the original packaging materials. The Lighthouse Man is unable to accept responsibility for any shipping damage that has not been noted on the Bill of Lading, or reported more than 48 hours following delivery. If the driver will not wait for you to inspect it then sign the form and print the the following statement "Driver will not wait for inspection"... Returns: Note: Refused merchandise will be charged a 25% re-stocking fee. "No Returns ": on Special Order Lighthouses, Amish Crafted Lighthouses, Yard Ornaments, Assembly Kits, Light Kits, Beacons, or Do-It-Yourself Plans" Customer Satisfaction: We try to provide the customer with as much requested information as possible before the purchase.
